Gulo Gulo
I first discovered Joshua KYEOT while listening to his Sofar Sounds cover of 'He Lives In You'. My uncle passed away in 2018 and I played his cover throughout the entire time of writing my eulogy for his funeral. Which in turn had an emphatic role in the grieving process. For that I wanted to thank Josh. After contacting Josh I asked him what his favourite animal was, he replied a Wolverine. From that point on I worked behind the scenes of summer 2020 to produce the piece below in secret. It was an honour to give back to someone who's given so much.
Orcinus Orca
To my childhood best friend, Jack Steele. We grew up playing Pokémon together, now he has his own little pocket monster in the form of his beautiful baby boy, August. This piece was made just before I got wind of the couple's news, marking the end of a chapter of, Jack, his partner Summer and their little boy Iyra, symbolised in this piece through Jack's favourite animal, the Orca. With perfect foundations laid to welcome their new son into the world, I wish the greatest of health and safety while we live through this crazy time.
