I have created a visual identity for myself as a solo musician. Over the course of my degree I have written a 10 track album. The visual identity will span across CD, single, EP and LP design. This will also be extended to merchandise, a website and a Rolling Stone article; including a front cover and 5 double page spreads.
This project is about as personal as it gets. To design your own identity in a different career and light. Being my own subject I had to throw out all inhibitions as I was the client and the designer. This project allowed me to be extremely vulnerable whilst also being the most confident I have ever felt as a musician. From album design, website design, merchandise, and text handling. This project started and finished with photography being the main protagonist. Setting the mood with my own macro shots featured in the poster and CD book and then out sourced portrait work configured within a Rolling Stone article. I am very happy with how this project turned out and I addressed many design questions I had for myself.
