Sanctuary 2020
I have created a self-reflationary piece for the ‘Journey’ Brief. I have created a combination piece that shows the perspective of lock-down 2020, to that of the devastation caused during WW2. This devastation is only visible on the piece when exposed to UV light. Paying homage to those fire fighters who lost their lives. I have named the piece ‘Sanctuary 2020’ because I found solace in what was once a literal bomb site, named ‘Sanctuary 1940’. The piece measures 16”x48” and i hope that one day, it can live in the Pembroke Dock Heritage Centre for all to pay their respects.
